Some of those old tractors must have been clumsy cantankerous things to had to work with. I can see why grandpa bought the D-4 cat much more nimble than in this picture.

My grandfather didnt have any sons so he adapted to tractors early on. He had a bull tractor with one drive wheel. A 6-12 Allis Chalmers and a Bates Steel Mule. The one he ended up with was a McCormick Deering 15-30 and then a M Farmall
