Bobcat 463 Tires

I just got a tiny Bobcat 463. The tires are nearly bald, and I don't know if I should spring for the foam-filled, the 12-ply, or be content with the 6-ply rating like it has now. Suggestions, comments, advice? Thank you.

That's a good point. The wheel base is only 28 inches, so I don't want to make it a rougher ride than it already is.

I'd be thankful that you can get them in 6 ply. Stiff tires are a stick in my craw. Seema every small tractor mfgr runs 16.5 wheel diameter and Bobcat sidewall rated 6 ply R4 tires, rated for something like 2700# each when the tractor only weighs 1800...so you let the air down to a low pressure in trying to get some kind of reasonable ride, and the tire falls off the rim because 16.5 wheels for some stupid reason, don't have the keep the tire on the wheel lip like other tubeless tires have had since the advent of TTs.

I bought a Craftsman 46 riding mower the other day and it had the common R3, elcheapo tires.....I let all the air out and it still held the up for me to mow.....only filled and sealed with ambient air pressure with minimum sidewall flexing!

New 10x16.5 's are under $100 each for the cheaper ones and easy to mount on those tapered rims. A good time to straighten and paint rims to mount tubeless.
