Long backhoe hydrostatic

I have a Long 1400 hydrostatic drive backhoe. Sometimes it will move good and sometimes it will not move it all.

Sometimes it will pull as it should and sometimes it will just barley move or will not move at all .

Any information will be appreciated.

The way I see it you have 3 options, and let me say I am no expert this is just an approach I would suggest. 1. If you have not did this change the fluid and replace the filters. When draining check to see if any filing are found in the fluid or bottom of the case. 2. Call a dealer and get a recommendation what to do. 3. Find a factory repair manual for the machine that has troubleshooting steps in it to help pin point the problem. A common problem with hydrostatic drive is fluid contamination, this often leads to inconsistent operation because of the close tolerances in these systems. If all else fails you might try contacting the company in the link.
