Is the seed tender a modification of something? How did the 4020 perform on the plow. Looks plenty dry in Wisc. for 1st few days of April.

I planted mine Friday and Saturday. Got half an inch of rain yesterday morning, temps in the 70s coming this week, so they should get off to a good start.

8200 drill? I thought about oats since the weather has been good but too late to switch insurance coverage. I can't afford to lose even 15 acres of crop to a catastrophe. We've had oats go down in a thunderstorm before.

I'm about to hook up the drill. Maybe before the week is out. Starting the season with unexpected mechanical problems.

My luck held out until I had three rounds left to go in a little 4 acre field. A bolt broke off in the end of the spindle and let the wheel tip in against the end of the box. It broke the ears off the sprocket where it bolts to the back of the hub. I had to jack it up in the field and get it all apart. I managed to weld the sprocket. Had to take the spindle to Jon's shop and put it in the lathe to drill the broken bolt out. Then Kim and I had to put it all back together out in the dirt. Lost a few hours there, but got finished up.
