Marine Grease

Anyone use marine grease on their tractors and equipment?

Lots of tractors and equipment set outside and Im wondering if the water resistance and anticorrosion properties might make it a beneficial application
for ag use.

Just curious.

Thanks!

Hi Bill

Used to use it on travelling irrigators. Now use a sticky general purpose grease on everything. Check compatibility with what you have been using and may as well go for it.

I just bot some to use. Some guys here recommended using grease on bolts and gaskets. Having seen how rust forms on bolt threads that have been on the tractor for years, I figure marine grease should be better than regular gun grease.

The hubs and bearings on my boat trailer; that is backed into salt water; are guaranteed for 6 years or 100,000 miles as long as I use Lucas Marine grease. That seems as a good enough endorsement for me. I use it where ever grease is needed on any equipment.

how many times do you think you would pack the brgs in 1000.000 miles, or is that those grease nipple caps? to get 100,000 miles on a boat trailer , would need to own it a life time and still not make 100k.

I know guys that pull their boats a lot of miles fishing all over the south east. But who keeps track of miles on a trailer. So basically its a 6 year warranty.

And the warranty is on no touch hubs. You put them on and forget them for 6 years. No maintenance required as long as you use Lucas marine grease.
