Water in oil

I had an issue with the water mixing with the oil. I drained all the old oil out and left the drain plug out for a couple of days. I went ahead and changed the head gasket (head looked fine) and torqued everything down. After letting it set for a couple of hours I decided to fill the radiator. Now here's my question... after a couple of hours, water was dripping out of the oil drain, this can't be normal right? It wasn't a lot of water, but this can't be right..... I almost forgot, it's a 1940 or 50 (not sure on the exact year) 9N Ford

That isn't good. It might not be the head gasket. It could have developed a hole in the cylinder or a crack in the head. Though if it was a crack, it would have been obvious when you put the new gasket in. I'm leaving towards a hole in a cylinder. Pull the pan to see exactly where it's leaking.

A friend has a Massey 55. He had a crack in the block between cylinder. You might be looking for a new engine.

keep it full of water and pull the oil pan and look up and you should see what is leaking you might have to pressurize the system with no more then 7 to19 psi.
