6065 WHITE TRACTOR

Advise needed, looking at a 6065 white tractor with front end loader 1100 hours.Never been around one, don't know to go one way or the other,Shead some light on project please, don't hold back tell it like it is. tractor has been setting for two years, owners health issues. Can't find one to compare prices. with no issues what is it worth? Tractor condition looks good, tires good, not beat up.

Its a same tractor only been around one the guy who owned
it could screw up a cold chisel with a rubber hammer

Google came up with one with 7,000 hours, just overhauled motor sold last July at auction in Ontario for $10,400. It had a cab, FWA and loader.

Front wheel assist was a John Deere term for the hydraulic
front wheel drive . Mfwd mechanical front wheel drive is what
most tractor with four wheel drive are

Cousin has a 6085 MFWD with a loader but no cab. I have driven the thing a few times. He really likes it, me not so much. I don't like the three
shifting levers and it seems kind of gutless. My 2-85 would run circles around it for power. You better find out how parts support is on it before you
buy it. Agco doesn't support a lot of things on products they sold during that era, front axles can be the worst.

This guy is in the nursing home, he wants me to get running and make an offer. With two year old diesel in tank would you try to start, or drain and add new? I told him i wasn't going to offer a cent till i drive get hot check blow by, and use the loader. i've got 10,000 in mind am i crazy, or about normal.

My neighbors had one of those JD hydraulic FWAs a long time ago. There were so few and so long ago I doubt that hardly anyone would think of one of them when they read FWA. Probably a similar ratio of those who die of the cheena flu right?

Since the owner is in a nursing home be SURE you know what you are getting in to.

If he has lots of $$$ to last 5 or 7 years (whatever the "lookback period" is now), well and good.

If NOT you and the owner are not really free to set a selling price.

Worked on a Massey Ferguson that had a hydraulic front
even seen a case with a hydraulic front axle assist no matter
who built it or how many they are still not the same as a mfwd
mechanical front wheel drive axle

No one has mentioned but these tractors were made by SAME in Italy or somewhere. Some Deutz-Fahr's and maybe hurlimans are made by SAME as well. Nobody wants them around here. Lots of broken ones that are uneconomical to repair.
