Anyone Recognize This Mower

S-Bar Ranch

New User
I have owned this mower since the early 80's. It was purchased from an older lady then along with several other pieces. I would like to restore it possibly and sell but cannot find who made this. It is heavy duty made and works, although haven't used it almost 20 years. Does anyone recognize the manufacture? Thanks.

My post simply asks for identification. Nothing about selling? I am only hoping someone might recognize this mower. I have had it for years and would like to know. That's it.

Sorry, "I would like to restore it possibly and sell" makes it look like you intend to sell it and possibly restore it prior to selling, but are looking for opinions on how sale-able it might be before deciding on whether or not to invest your time and money.

I think cutter is a model E60 if it has 60'' cutting width. It was built by Sevis Equipment later in Dallas,Tx. later changed name to Rhino & relocated to Seguin,Tx then purchased by Alamo Group. I remember picking up parts/equipment on Singleton Blvd in Dallas. Servis Equip co was a subsidiary of Austin Bridge co.

I don't remember E60 having option of slip clutch because I thought they only had shear pin on driveline but it's possible that slip clutch was added because they were built about 55 yrs ago.

You are correct. I had actually tried to edit that "sell" part out and thought I did but as a newbie not allowed. I didn't intend to make it look like I would sell, only thinking maybe some day if I did I could at least let the buyer know what he was buying! But mainly to know where to try and find parts for in needed. It is a tank and still runs very well. I have several for my ranch in East TX but this little guy is perfect for getting around the trees easier and there are a lot of those!

I am beyond amazed! I actually follow a lot of these forums and enjoy reading them and all the things a person can learn from them. I knew someone had to recognize this and you hit it on the head. I, for some reason, always thought it was Rhino built but when I went to look for it, nothing. The Servis part ranged the bell and I do remember that. I actually bought it in Lancaster TX , a suburb south of Dallas, in mid 80's and it looked about like it does now. Maybe not as faded. My office is right off of Loop 12 & Singleton where there are a lot of equipment parts and dealers located, along with a Servis dealer. I have been trying for months to figure this out and when YT finally turned me loose, it's a done deal!! I was laughing while reading the great detail and then memory jog. BAM! Doesn't get any better. THANKS JIM!
