Despite being only 30 miles from West allis, my grandfather and his brothers had virtually no Allis equipment other than each of them had an Allis silage blower.

Here's a story about that no-till corn planter: A few years ago, my family won a conservation award. One of the attendees was a former UW ag engineer who'd assisted with developing the first Allis no-till planter. He gave my uncle- one of his former students- a worn out wavy coulter. He claimed it came from that first Allis planter!
