Ford Jubilee

Working on ford Jubilee, it has been setting for many years, did and in frame, engine runs good. Hooked it to a 5ft shredder and lifted the shredder, I heard a clatter. My first thought was push rods sure sounded like it, but then we lowered the shredder and the clatter stopped, did this a few more times with the same result. I am assuming the hydraulic pump is shot. All the fluids have been drained and replaced, not too long ago. Also there is a small plate below the seat, towards the right side and front of the seat, it has 5 bolts in it, hydraulic fluid was leaking from underneath the plate. I was going to unbolt it apply some sealer then bolt the plate back. Is there anything I need to watch for when removing the plate? Would y'all agree the pump Is the issue? if not any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

First things first. Check the universal joints in that driveline.
IF you lifted the shredder and put the drive shaft at more of an
angle than it was designed for, you get clatter. Raise it up a
little more creating more of an angle and you will start breaking things.

The other comments are good, too, but might not be resolve all of the problem.

At this point I had not engaged the PTO. Just using the lift, seems as soon as I raised the 3 pt the clatter started.

One more thing to check--based on my experience----We have a 2N ford with a five foot shredder. I lifted the shredder too high and the PTO shaft was touching the front of the shredder. Loud Noise. My son was standing by and noticed it. No harm done.
