Cant tell if it is secured. however a young mother and her two small children were killed locally when a unsecured bobcat bounced off a similar trailer on a bridge.Hit them head on,crushed their small car. :( the tow vehicle driver said he only had to go a mile or so,so he didn't think it necessary to chain it.Never did hear what happened to him.Improperly/non secured loads scares me much more than an inadequet tow vehicle.

I agree . Bumper pulls can be scary if you dont get enough tongue weight your next stop will be leering to play the harp .

That one looks to be loaded about right. The bobcat is centered over the axles, the tow vehicle is squatted some. The car may be lacking on brakes, and perhaps 'brawn',but if he goes slow and careful, thinks ahead,he will be ok. We have all 'been there done that'.....

(quoted from post at 13:01:49 03/11/21) That looks like a superburban, so it may be rated high enough to pull that.
Looks like maybe a Cadillac to me (meddalion center of tailgate).
Could be the tahoe or suburban size, neither one was a 3/4 ton.

That load looks to be a tad bigger than the conventional skidsteer.

Not really seeing anything that screams unsafe. They made both 3/4 and 1 ton Suburbans. Most likely a 1/2 ton would squat more than that one.

Edit to above, if it indeed an Escalade, than it's surely over loaded. I can't make it out for sure, I thought it was a Suburban. It doesn't look nearly as bad as I would expect.

I've seen a lot worse, seems to centered about the correct amount of tongue weight, braking might be an issue

I have a trailer that looks identical. We can haul the 743 Bobcat on there with the Yukon XL and it is right at the GVW limit. I suspect he is overloaded some as that skidsteer looks a size larger to me than our 743..

Hey our old trusty 2003 Dodge Durango with the trailer tow pkg has a towing capacity of 7500lbs , Now would i ever even think of dragging that much behind it NOPE . Personally i would not want that much behing a 1/2 ton pick up . I want something for towing that has a little more meat to it better rated tires rather then a P rated heavier braking system and beefier springs . I have pulled one of those small box trailers behind the Durango moving my one daughter to collage and to me that was enough . I use to drag a bumper pull tri axle behind a 3/4 ton hauling my 310 Case dozer and it did ok as long as you drove sensible what it did not like hauling was the 580 CK back hoe . Stepping up to a dual rear tire one ton for hauling and a gooseneck was a huge leap forward in hauling safely

Escalade towing capacity about 8100 lbs. Is he pulling 8100 lbs ? Looks like a Deere skid steer. How heavy are they.

Hey! what's everyone worried about?? you can see that the sun is low. It must be early Sunday AM. I'll bet that the driver is even driving carefully. So he will have no problem.

Mid and Later 2000's suburbans could be had with the 8.2, not that it has the chassis to take advantage of the available power.
Might give some people delusions of grandure.
