case tractor

That is an adorable Case D.
I am guessing 1952 with hand clutch on the left and both brake pedals on the right.

Very creative way to keep the tractor portable when the engine is out for repairs

Some guys on here say some of the 51 models had rock shaft holes also.

But everything points to 52 yes.
Independent pto
Left side clutch
Twin right side brakes
Rock shaft holes

Saw something like that years ago hooked to JD pto baler and 6 or 8 horse hitch on front. I figured that trans mission and pto in gear it made for a ground drive unit. I can't remember if every thing was on steel wheels but possible in that area.

dont look like a D to me, unless a DC. only the early D's had those clam fenders. plus its too high for a D.

My family's 52 D has clam shell fenders. Minus the big dent from tree branch

tractor in add sits tall on rear 26 inch rubber and has the front over slung spindles.

I knew fiat charged extra for the swather header but now they even sell the tractor engines separate 😂

The photos of that short wheelbase keep reminding me of a few shortened vw busses here on oregon coast.
There is a town of Tillamook that is very very proud of thier dairys and cheeses. High school football team is the cheese makers. Well the local tillamook cheese factory made up these baby vw buses and called them mini loafs and painted them to look like mini cheese loafs

Yes they do run and drive

You are correct brakes on the RH side and Live Power, are 52 and after production,, I have a 1951 DC with Eagle hitch unit here with no live power, and brakes on each side,, a few of them were made this way while waiting for the supplier to get them supplied with a live power part they were held up on, mine is also a factory equipped LP unit

for decades before NH became part of CNh swather tractor units were always a separate order from the header, Fiat is a whole better part of the CNh group than worthless ih was when they were bought out for pennies on the dollar as they had went belly up, to say Fiat had anything to do with CASE when the DC was built is like saying a D7 made in 1950 was related to JD,,, by the way does JD still have interest/money in CAT? they did in the 90's but have not heard much about that these days, thought you might know

Nothing wrong with this tractor, someone just painted the engine with the jd invisible paint used on the SOCP. Case purists would say only flambeau paint is appropriate.

He asks to "make an offer" .... then later states not to make an "unsolicited offer". So, does he want an offer or not? I suspect he thinks it's worth a whole lot more than he'll be offered for it on a solicited offer but never on an unsolicited offer (whatever all of that means).

John Deere hasnt gotten the paint thats why you can see the Deere cab posts but all other companies stacks and cab posts are invisible to the naked eye

Maybe in the 30 40s and 50 when Deere and cat had some joint ventures going with some cat dealers selling John Deere tractors and Deere selling some cat tractors and cat sold Deere their combine line . Deere is still Deere although now Deere is owned more buy share holders than the Deere family unlike tenneco ih fiat have they changed their name this week ?

Deere dealers also sold other construction equipment through the venture with cat . When cat sold Deere the holt line of combines was probably in the 20s early 30s have to get my history book out to be sure . Then cat tried selling a foreign pos combine right before selling the whole ag line to fix it again Tonys distant relative agco

That comes up on everything you sell on CL if you click on it. It's there to prevent scammers. I click it everytime I sell on CL. If you don't, it's amazing what shows up.

OK Blackhole .... just a wording issue I guess. These guys that put something up for sale though with "make me an offer" I find annoying. Obviously they are fishing. If they don't have a clue as to what the item is worth (which they will often claim), how in the world can they evaluate an offer? And if you did make an offer (perhaps even a lowball one), is the owness on them to come back with a counter offer after rejecting what was offered? Why not simplyl state and asking price and get on with it all?

JD owned part of CAT in the 90's that is how they got the CAT blade controls on their machines,, I was asking of they still owned a interest in Cat,, I know all about Holt ect,, I lost my CAT salesman years ago who kept me in the loop,, I was not asking anything about AG equipment I guess you may not know about them bailing out CAT with some coin in the 90's,, the Challenger line as far as I know had nothing at all to do with Deere, I was not putting down JD at all like some seem to think I was asking a damn question

I think our potato state friend is just a little frustrated that his Fiat pickup is still broke down. Hopefully the mood will improve when its running again.
