Anybody have a tire that they would sell
within 300 miles of Grover Colorado? It's
for a forklift that a neighbor has. Email
is open.

Contact Military truck and parts vendors.

They usually have decent tires available.

The M35 2 deuce and half used that size for many years along
With numerous trailers.

I've 2 that I would give you but I'm in SWI. Used them to replaced the front track idlers on Cat 65 Challenger.

A lot of manure spreaders had that size also feed wagons, chevy and ford grain trucks from the early 70's. Take one from SV Cummins and see if he misses it!! :)

He's probably looking for tires too! He said he can get a new on for $600 but he only needs the forklift to finish his pole barn.

Amazon sells them and it looks like the tire place at your nearby Walmart can get them, not to mention pretty much any tire place willing to put amlittle effort into it.

Or is the cost of a new tire prohibitive to the situation?

For $600.00 you could find several in a junkyard with rims or wheels whichever he needed. If it has bud wheels you could put a pair of 22.5's on it cheaper than that with used tires and wheels.
Cheyenne is not all that far should be a junkyard there with some in it.
Grover. I used to go through there with combines about 30 years ago. We would be coming from Down by Siebert CO up around the scale then would send the bunkhouses around by way of Briggsdale up to burns. We would wait in Burns at the truckstop for them if dark spend the night. Didn't know anybody other than the ranchers lived near Grover or Hereford CO.

Drive tire or non driven?

If it is a non driven steering tire I would put a used 10.00 x 20 or 8.25 x 20 on it to finish the job if a 9.00 isn't available. They will fit on the 20" rims.

If he is only on gravel, dirt, grass, where there can be easy tire slippage, that could get by short term on a drive axle. All depends how bad he wants to get it going.

Might try these guys in Dodge City, Kansas. Militarytrucks.com They usually sell tire and wheel assemblies but do have some tires only. 620 227-7441

I always wanted to go with my brother on the wheat harvest but I was too young. There are some good sized ranches here and about a 100 people live in Grover and quite a few small ranchetes around.

Thanks everyone for the help! The guy got impatient and ordered a new tire from China for $600!!! The old forklift might be worth that much. The hydraulics work good and it goes 30 feet high!!! But the transmission doesn't work very well. It barely moves around but it will work to finish his pole barn. It's going to be interesting to see how he builds it. He's got a bunch of bridge beams, that he got cheap, that he's going to set on poles for the roof, and then put rafters on them.

Every time I drove threw that area we hit bad weather. Never saw good weather when driving threw there. Makes it worse when your pulling a mobile home
