I have a m4900 Kubota. A while back the pto safety switch acted up and it wouldn't crank. My son in law jumped it off from around the starter and cranked it. Thiis was several months ago and now I need to jump it again. Above the battery cable connection is two small wire I guess going to the solenoid. How would I jump it from there?

Tom,
One time my L3560 wouldn't start.
My son had changed the seat adjustment. He weighs about 125# more than I.
I couldn't get it to crank until I sat down real hard on the seat.
Then I readjusted the seat.
Are you sure it the PTO switch?
I just have to bump my switch with my elbow and it turns to the off position.
We do have a resident Kubota dealer on YT. He knows way more than I do.

Ya, I know, spending $$$ on repairs is NOT something most of us like to do.

But GET IT FIXED.

This is the sort of thing that will get someone badly hurt or killed.

Lots of "smart" or "I can jump out of the way" types can attest to that, at least the ones that survived.

Be very careful. It is easy to forget and have the machine in some sort of gear and you are standing right by the wheel.

Many many bad situations over the years.

Seriously. Im an old farmer in farm country, dont take much to the new fangled over safety stuff, but this one is real, lot of people ran over themselves this way.

Paul,
If I'm not sitting in the seat mine won't start. If tractor is running, not moving, PTO is enguages, I get off the seat, my engine shuts off. Not sure when Kubota started making them safer.

I usually start it from the seat. It has been working good since son in law fixed the pto switch. I don!t know what happened today.. I had started it several times and last time I cut it off it didn't start. When I get it started I will take to the shop ans remove the switch and replace it. I mowed some tall tough weeds and grass last time. I guess I may have pulled a wire loose or something.

My son in law helped me with my Kubota. We got the bad switch out and I will get a new one. The old one acted up about 2 months ago so we will replace it this time. Thank for the help.
