Power Steering

I have a 1963 diesel super major with back hoe and loader.I would like to put power steering on it, but the kits i look at say they are not suitable with loader.Was this model not available with power steering .

Even if it was, I can't imagine the factory power steering was designed for loader use, especially backhoe/loader use.

There are many options for a hydraulic conversion if you build it yourself. Basically you need a cylinder or two cylinders to turn the wheels, a hand pump up at the steering wheel, hoses, and a source of hydraulic pressure. It just requires some fabrication.

No connection, have never used this company but been
around awhile. Not cheap but not a foreign made kit either,
so better chance of getting parts & support.

The Sherman Brothers offered a power steering system to go with
the Fordson Loader Backhoe units.

The backhoe would be a major factor. It takes a lot of weight off from the front axle.
