Removing oil pan on Massey Ferguson 240

Can this be done without splitting the tractor or removing the front axle? It seems like it can be done but theres two studs at the front of the pan Im sure you could use the double nut method to break them free my only concern was if theres actually enough room to get them all the way out.

Have a small oil leak coming from the cotter key area so Im starting with the pan gasket first.

i would just split it and fix it right the first time that little tractor is not hard to split. i have to transmission jacks from HF thats all i use main thing is wedge the front axle so the front half don't tip

If the rear cork gasket is bad wouldnt replacing it be fixing it the right way the first time?

If the rear main is bad then yes I would need to split it.

I think you have to remove the front end, I slip a 2 by 4 scrap on each side of the axel to prevent tilting. Also I believe you will need to split the engine from the rear half and remove the flywheel to get at the rear main. My experience is with the MF 65 with the larger 203 Perkins.
