Hello,
My name is Bill Worthey I live In southern California

I have a Question about my 1967 ford 3500 tractor it has a torque converter transmission it has a 4 speed shifter but it. Also has a forward and reverse lever.

The problem Im having is the transmission shifter lever will not go from the nuteral position forward or reverse.so it will not move in earthier direction any thoughts ?

Bill

It has to be running for shuttle to move and if running 1200 rpm or more will not shift. If neither are problem under steering gear box is a block called blocker valve. The plungers get stuck.

I will check the valve

Thank
You

OK I checked the valve its stuck
so I blew some air into it and I lost one of the pins
So how do I find a new valve or pin ?

And i looked everywhere and I cant find a blocker valve anywhere

I quest that no one knows the name of this part or where to find parts for it or what book its covered in

This link should take you to the search for 3500 on the New Holland parts books site.

https://www.mycnhistore.com/us/en/newhollandag/search/?text=3500&byModel=1

Scroll down the list and you will see the 3500. this will let you look up and get parts numbers to use in your searches. Messick's site has these parts books as well and they sell parts. Of course some parts are NLA from the OEMs, but the part number and name from the book will help you.

I'd get a magnet and check around for the pin. Can't have gone too far. That said I can see something drop and it is never where I thought it went. Some of those parts have wings. A little air compressor can carry it a little further.

I gave you a link to the on line parts catalog. Have you tried doing a web search for Ford 3500 Tractor Manuals, service and operator's? You will get many hits for sellers offering them. Have you checked this site's store? If you are looking at Modern View just click on the Tractor Manuals button at the top right of the page. The YT store has manuals for your tractor, as well as the loader and backhoe, if needed. eBay has some.

Most manuals aren't free, if that is what you are looking for, but you might luck out with this one. Here is a link to a Ford service manual someone posted on line, you can download, that appears to cover the 3500. You need to download and read it, to determine if it has the info you need, I can't say if it does.

I replied to your request on ..Classic View.. some how the 2 views are not playing well together on your posts. In the white box near the top of the forum page please select ..Classic View.. or like wise select ..Modern.. if you are in ..Classic.. and scroll around to find your replies that are a bit scattered out. My apologies to Jim ME after I posted I figured out where you were directing Bill to go from your link.
