Kinze video

When he demonstrated that Blue Tractor, some farmer had asked him how did he got the two engines to work together,Jon had answered him, when you drop those twelve eighteen's in the Alfalfa ground, they get together real quick, i wasn't there, but heard the story told!

Mother Deere sued Kinze once before. Not only did Kinze win a bundle of cash, the court ruled that Deere's patents were invalid. Don't think it can't happen again.

I saw this tractor and plow at the Wallace's Farmer Magazine farm show near Ft. Dodge, Iowa, in 1971. It made quite an impact on me!

The first US Army personnel carrier I learned to drive was the M59 which incorporated two GMC 302 in-line 6s. One on each side coupled to its own hydramatic transmission attached to a common final drive. It was neat to hear those super smooth running sixes going through the paces of shifting up and down but not in unison. Reliability was an issue and the M59 was replaced with the much more reliable M113. A single engined vehicle.

My only near-death experience with Kinze was when I went to buy a new Kinze corn planter at the CIH dealer. It was in August. They said Kinze was having the deal of a lifetime. Order and pay for it now and take delivery sometime in April of the following year. They gave me the price and I said I'd think about it. On my way to the John Deere dealer, I thought about some of the things that could go wrong with a deal like that. What if Kinze goes bankrupt between now and April? What if their factory burns down or gets blown down or gets flooded out? Etc. When I got to the John Deere dealer they told me John Deere was offering the deal of a lifetime. Pay$1000 down and the rest on delivery sometime in March. Price they gave me was $4000 less than Kinze. A no-brainer. I'm very happy with my John Deere planter. It looks almost identical to the Kinze.
