Only an hour from me.....

Grandpa Love.... That JD has the straightest tin I've seen on an antique tractor in a long time. Be a shame if you didn't trailer it home. Wingnut

I'd say go for it. One need to NEVER be color blind when it comes to tractors. My self I have at least one of most brands if not 3 or 4

those 2 cyl's will drive u bonkers, and if you dont like green paint it yellow. price is right.

Id already own it if I could find an M in that condition for $800 in my area. Yes, you should buy it!

No collection is complete without at least one Deere.....and that one is a bargain way to get one!

TOO many. Probably over 30. Not all complete as in some now parts and pieces and most still run but a few due to the floods etc. are locked up. This old age thing makes it hard to keep up with things

While I am not that old disabilties do play into things. Bad back, bad knees, bad right shoulder etc. Plus living under the poverty level does not help

I agree. Room to make a little money on that one if it runs as good as it looks . I see a Ford behind it, you may end up with 2 more tractors.

Looks good to me.

Shouldn't take much to "[i:654c4848f0]spruce it up[/i:654c4848f0]" a bit.

If you go back to look at the Deere and drive it around. Look closely at the engine block behind where the carb. sits and the front side of the cyl. head for freeze cracks or welds. Up here in Ohio that was a very common spot for them to crack. Also if the drive train is quiet without any loud howling noises good chance the tranny and rear end are good. When stuff goes bad in there they get pretty noisy.

Up to you but I'd snatch both the M and 860 Ford up. Could do a bundle deal yet the asking isnt bad for both of them. Anytime I've seen John Deere Ms you cant touch them for under a grand unless they are beat. I just bought a Ford NAA hadnt ran in years, paid &700 for that. Took very little to get going. Seen few 860s comparable to that one bring good money. Might even stumble across a motor if it needs one.
