Unstyled B pipe plugs?

Ive been working on a 1938 unstyled JD B. Today i pulled the brake assemblies off. I noticed that behind the flywheel there are two pipe plugs. My parts manual is calling them Part# 15H238R "Plug, Pipe, LH main bearing 2 used" and it also says "Plug,Pipe crankcase oil drain". Are they just access holes to get to the main bearing? im stumped on this one.

Yes.

Take a look at the parts diagram below.

Note the pipe plug 2 used (Key 21).

Your 38B share the same parts are on our 39B.

Thank you everyone for the response. My parts manual for the unstyled does not have as clear of a diagram as the one posted here does. Thanks again
