8N surging at WOT

I have a 47 8n I put on a brand new fuel tank, fuel strainer, and carb. It is surging when you get past about 3/4 throttle. pulling the choke out clears it up so I know it's a fuel issue. Any suggestions. Yes the ignition is all new too.

Have you tried opening up the load adjusting needle on the carb. ?

Yes I have. It's like the fuel passage in the carb is too small

Is the carb the correct one for it as in a TRUE M/S carb or is it from the land of almost right??

Rcelt75 Do you have the original Marvel Schlebler carburetor? If you do h,have it rebuilt!The after market CHINA carburetors are mostly missed manufactured JUNK.
Email Royse over on the Ford 9N, 2N, 8N Discussion Forum as he rebuilds them mail order reasonably.He also test and adjusts them on his own tractor before sending them back.

If it has an adjustable main jet, start opening it (screwing it out) 1/4 turn at a time until it stops surging.

A good test is to see if it will take sudden throttle from idle without hesitating.
