help with toolbox drawers

The shop where I do some work has a toolbox with several drawers. They "lock" shut when the top lid is closed. Recently I noticed that several of the lower drawers will not open. The three latches that move up and down for the locking function all move correctly. I am aware that tools can get out of line and cause A DRAWER to not open but I've never seen most of a bank of drawers be locked.

How can a person get to the latch mechanism to find the problem? The main back panel is one solid sheet with no obvious place to open it.

Thanks

If it is theirs, ask them to fix it so you can do your work. If it is not going to happen, put regular engine oil down the tab where it sticks up through the top hinge. Work it up and down some while wiggling the drawers. Jim
