JD Side Shield Question

I posted this question on the JD board as well, but there is also a lot of knowledge here as well.
Looking to see if anyone can tell me what the side shield on the right is? It appears to be factory cut and not farmerized. It's slightly taller that the 4010 shield beside it. I bought it at an auction where there was a 4320 with a cab, and also a 4430. I thought the 4320 had a factory cab, but I actually didn't pay that much attention. Looking at the JD parts book on the 4320 with Hinson cab I don't see that shield. Nor in the 4430 book, which I didn't think I would find. Just hoping someone may recognize it and know what it goes to. Thanks for any help you can give - Bob

It is for a Deere factory cab. The one panel on my 4520 is cut like that so at one time it either had a cab or they lost a panel and replaced it with one from a cab tractor. The cut has to do with the front mounting brackets for the cab. Tom

I've got what I bet is a rarity- the left side panel on my 2520 has a cut out for a horizontal exhaust. Somewhere around here I've got the oval cover which was over the muffler hole in the hood.

Are the side shields just for looks? When I bought my 5020 I didn't think much about the shields. They were probably laying around. I understand some side shields are rather pricy. Stan

It must be for a Hinson cab?? At least on my 4020 with a Stolper, there is no cutout on this panel. It slips in under the cab.
