Cubes heifers and snow

Took a load of cubes out to the replacement heifer pen for bedding the ol dump truck couldnt make it back up the hill . The cat loader pulled us up though . The heifers are really growing like crazy

SV, what are the temps there in those pictures? Everybody looks good in the herd. Thankfully I didnt have anything calve in below zero temps. She waited until yesterday when our low was right at freezing and gave me a heifer.

Thats nice calving weather. We have warmed up just a bit supposed to be a storm coming through again or there was . Right now about 25 degrees
 
These will go to summer range in about June and put the bulls on and with any luck theyll all be bred and go into the herd as replacements

Are you planning on getting a cow from SV, butchering it, then smoking it?
I remembering my dad made his own butcher shop. One of his hobbies.
Growing up on a farm during the depression butchering your own meet was just a way a country boy survived.
When I had a family and friend raised cows. We would buy half the cow when they sent to the butcher shop. Now I buy my butchered meet from Krogers.
