By now you know I start every evening meal with a Grain Belt. Went to the frig.....all out. So first thing on tomorrows agenda,,, beer run. There was some red wine in there so I don't know if it is kosher but I had a glass of red wine with my deluxe American fries and yogurt. Couple cookies for desert. What you-all having?

We had one of my all times favorite dishes. At least it use to be. Tuna Casserole. It's a pretty simple dish, but it use to be quite good. Then my wife got into eating healthy. No-Yolk noodles. Low sodium soups. Skim milk. It's just not the same anymore. When she started leaving the potato chips off the top, I put my foot, (fork) down. The potato chips are back, but it just seem to be the same as it use to be.

Leftover meatballs, taters baked in the oven, and canned spinach (Popeye turned me on to the canned green stuff - have always loved it).

My homemade nut brown ale and a plate full of fried liver and onions.

I'm with you Hdonly. A nice dark ale. I try to have 1 or 2 every evening. Made with 100% Nebraska Corn. This beer is brewed nearby in Axtell,
Nebraska by Thunderhead Brewing Company.
I had roast beef, potatoes and homegrown corn for supper tonight.

8 25 count garlic butter saute shrimp, on deli soft fettuccine, (Scampi)garlic fr bread, salad, Glass of white.

Fast Farmall; I may be spoiling your meal, but Grain Belt has not brewed in St. Paul for quite some time. Schell brewing or New Ulm, MN, now brews it and follows the Grain Belt closely to still give us the flavor we remember.

Well thanks, but it's been about 50 years since i had a Grain Belt, but remember the sport scenes on the cans the fish, Bears,The Brew that grew in the Great Midwest or whatever as their motto was!

Mm mm Grainbelt, actually brewed in New Ulm Minnesta now owned by August Schells brewing. Had one yesterday.

Schmidt beer with the wildlife, and Hamms with the bear, those were the days.

I like the Schells seasonal beers.

I am supposed to eat healthy with this cancer, had a can of spaghetti and meat balls for lunch and a package of Ritz crackers for supper.

(quoted from post at 19:17:26 02/22/21) By now you know I start every evening meal with a Grain Belt. Went to the frig.....all out. So first thing on tomorrows agenda,,, beer run. Was it Indian Island wine?

I like to grill up a second hand lion about once every month or so. According to the movie, they come in a wooden box. Tonight, it was fresh-caught perch and some frozen vege/tater combo that was handy. And a pumpkin chip muffin for dessert. A Miller Highlife is on the horizon.

Hotdog with Ketchup and onions on bread with water or lemonade. Homemade brownies for dessert. Never could stand the tase of beer. Tasted like old dishwater or worse. Good whisky for medicinal purposes is good.

I think it may expose a problem. To have it cause concertation is not good. Normal reaction to not finding an alcoholic beverage, would be "Oh Ship", "Honey make sure you grab some beer when you go shopping"
To dwell on it to the extent of actually making a post ,and, making procurement a priority, does not bode well..

tHE BEST CHICKEN FRIED STEAK i VER HAD WAS IN A LITTLE DINER DOWNTOWN

The best chicken fried steak I ever had was in a little diner in downtown Fort Worth, TX.

Pitch ..... you sound similar to an uncle I had once years ago, every Sunday on his way to church he would drop by and as part of his efforts (which we ignored) to get our family to attend, he'd lay all that same stuff on our family. Eventually he died from alcoholism himself, Sundays were his preachin'days, the other six were his drinkin' days. Hopefully you have better luck ..... LOL !!!

Baked sour cream porkchops, green beans, garlic potatoes, coffee with cherry pie and vanilla ice cream topping, all prepared by the wife.
