Yesterday I attended the Dade Estate sale near Schell City,MO..I go to the same church with the late owners brother...The temperature was 44 degrees and this was the first nice day since Feb 6th...Between Feb 7th and Feb 19th it pretty much had been below freezing...In that time period we had from 6-12 inches of snow...On Monday morning Feb 15 it was as low as -12 degrees followed by as low as -20 degrees on Tuesday morning Feb 16th...We are far enough south that we usually only see temperatures like that every 20-30 years or so..Lots of winters we never get below zero..

There was a huge crowd and things sold great for this area..Most of the stuff on the sale was well cared for..None of the tractors were real high hours and were used on a cattle farm...The 4 big AC's all had like new tires...I saw many people that I knew from both near and far away...The sale started at 10 AM and was over at 4 PM..

Interesting! I think I might have tossed a couple bids in on the D17 series 4. It wasnt necessarily a bargain at $3500, but I think anything under $4000 would have been worth it. Cattle trailer seemed reasonable enough too.

That D17 would bring above 4,000 dollars around here. I would not mind having it. The 7020 looked real good, too.

I'd say that the estate was happy with the sale results..Next Friday weather permitting I may go to a large farm sale about 20 miles away..This sale has a very unusual story to go with it..Its too bad that it isn't Tuesday as it will be sunny and 62.

looks like decent equipment for sure,, and prices reflected it,, the 2670 was dirt cheap, engine alone will bring almost twice that,, glad it was not close to me, I do not really need another but sure would have made someone pay more than that,,

I made a mistake...Viewing is this Friday but the sale is two weeks later..Theres enough machinery to farm 8000-10,000 acres..

It was real cheap, especially if the tranny was OK which a neighbor said it was...The engine started easy and sounded great plus it had 8 tires at 50%...The 3 pt wasnt working but probably would if warmed up..
