You have been mentioning getting some snow. I remember you saying you were desperately needing moisture as your ground was real dry. Are you getting enough snow to help your situation ? I know it takes a lot more snow to equal rainfall in inches. Hope it does help !

The snow we are getting is definitely helping the situation. Keep getting a little bit every couple days keeps it up we might be in fair shape

Good to hear ! The pics you show when plowing and working ground look crazy to me ! I cant imagine ground so hard you need a pan breaker ! Around here there is topsoil, clay and shale. Only plow maybe 8 to 10 inches. Kinda heavy ground , but never hard and dry. I work road construction and we have graders and dozers with rippers for breaking what we call hard pan. Wonder if its like what you have there ! Hope you get what you need !

The neighbor a couple years ago ripped a 40 acre field with his D9 cat and 2 shank ripper he brought colds up the size of a 4020 it kinda thawed a bit that winter and he was out trying mash the clods down with a 4850 mfwd and a big chisel plow I bet he did the ground a lot of good . I need to find a bigger ripper that will really go down and get the hard pan .

As dry as it is in your part of the world and plowing as dry as the pictures I've seen I doubt you have much of a hard pan/plowpan to contend with. More a lack of water problem.
