That is an axle breaker for sure.
Was driving one one day when the rear axle broke.

Duals? Would love to own a G. I know

There was and old farmer in McKinney, Tx. that realized selling used farm machinery was more lucrative than actual farming. I was getting started back then, low on money, so I had to be picky. Upon surveying his site I ran across 6 Gs in near perfect condition considering their age, and at the time one of them would have been the perfect machine to do what I needed done. Problem was I couldn't afford one....but .like Jimmy Carter admitted one time, "I lusted in my heart" and still have fond feelings of the sort some 30 or so years later....course my lust was for a machine.

I broke an axle on mine just using the brakes to steer. Belly mounted Mott mower in July when the grass is real dry and the front tires will slide in a tight turn. No
noise, it just stopped moving. Took a while to figure it out. When I bought it the old guy had a second one for parts that I didn't know about till I went to pick it
up. I borrowed an axle from that one. It was a common problem, mostly the right side if you hit something while plowing. OP manual says do NOT add wheel weights or
load the tires.
