MR. Wore out You get the prize for John Deere 4020 hydraulics diagnosis . A big thanks to all who have helped pull their hair out right along with me .if you look close you can see the oil spraying out of the rockshaft plate we had discussed.

Mr. SV, I wasn't the one who brought up the possibly of a failure of bolts and/or the O-ring in that area, but I DID encourage you to check it out.

Your video is not clear to me, but if you are seeing a leak there you need to pull the rockshaft assembly (which you've been itching to do) and FIX it!

Post some photos as you repair that, please!

I wondered how long it would be before you damaged your loader. You put a lot of stress on your loader.

Not saying you aren't the only person guilty of pushing the limits.

Where's the TY Stress Police?

It was actually the three point hitch that blew a seal . I just didnt take the picture of it being carried home . Same hitch I use on my 3020 and bale loader . The hitch is actually a round bale spinner I cut a hole in the top of and welded a 2 51/6 ball in place . . Im sure ytosha will be along shortly

So help me understand this. I do have a 4020 ,but do not think I have any issues so far. Why did capping off the rockshaft feed line not isolate this ?
does this area get fed directly from the transmission pump and it leaked off lube pressure and flow to the front pump ?
I had a leaking thermal relief on the cylinder ( which is at the rear most of the tractor ) causing the 3 point to drift down. I was able to reseat it with some valve lapping compound.

I am not 100% sure on that still . I have ran the tractor all day and with an infrared thermometer I cant find any valve thats running any hotter than the others even the scvs under the hoods only run about 10 degrees hotter and thats sitting right on top of the exhaust manifold under the hood
