190 AC on snow blower

My next door neighbor purchased this 190 AC gas through a on-line auction last fall for $2,800.00. Seemed like a steal to me. He told me when he went to preview the tractor it ran rough, bought it anyway. Got it home, figured it could be the carburetor, but decided to check out the spark plug wires, as the previous owner had put in new plugs. Several plug wires were on wrong plugs, put it right, now runs smooth.

I like to see these older tractors go to good homes, and I dont see many 190 AC gas tractors anymore

In the late 70s I bought a Case skid loader from a Case dealer. Didn't run worth a darn and the salesman said it had a couple valves out and had it priced cheap to sell. Bought it cheaper yet and got it home. Next morning I was checking it out and found the plug wires on wrong....changed them and it ran like a top. Never did tell them...

I see, all of those bigger gas tractors will burn a lot when worked hard. I've known a couple 806 farmals and 1850 Oliver's that were the same. The biggest case I've driven is a 730 and 770 gas and they were bad too. I've heard the LA was a drinker as is the 930 gas, but I've never been around one.

Gas tractor moved hay and snow here today (again) not the size of the AC but it gets the job done....JD 1020

I was just a kid but I remember one of the high school guys complaining at the restaurant(only one in town and most of the BTO sent their help there to eat)that the new 190XT had no power. He said that he took an ice pick to the main jet. He claimed it ran good but really liked it s gas(duh)

Always love to get a good deal because if someone elses incompetence. Picked up a tractor for 2000.00$ bad motor supposedly new rear tires near new front tires new 12 volt starter and new injection pump. Turned out the timing was way off and the valves were way to tight ended up putting reman injectors in the next year helped the cold starting . I was really looking for a gas engine after spending a week trying to thaw out a Diesel engine

I was really looking for one but I use it for a lot of heavy tillage and heavy pto work so in that way Im glad I didnt get one

My 4020 gas fired right up yesterday to set out bales and it has the hated MS carb. It will burn some gas if you work it.
