Neat Ford tractor

A good friend up toward the mountains about 12 miles from here bought this Ford.
Don't see these around here at all.
He does a lot of gardening and has some really nice creek bottoms he works.
Turns out this is a 451 that has been painted wrong, but is very nice and will serve him well.
It cranks and purrs like a kitten.
For some reason, I can only post 3 photos.

I knew you would like that Kevin.
If you try to steal it, you better be VERY, VERY QUIET and be able to run very fast.

Very nice tractor. My uncle had a ford tractor I believe that it was a 900 or a 9N. He used it for every thing he did over using the farmall, deere, and massey. One day when maken hay he ask me if I would drive it to his place with a load of hay. Well being a kid I said sure and off they went with me beind. After some time he came looking for me and I stoped. He ask why you going so slow an I told him that I'm in high gear right up here. He laugh and said that no you need to push the shifter down for the high gears. I made good time then in 5fh an it had good power.

Interesting placement of the ignition key. Makes it easier to reach on this offset versus the standard location under the left side of the dash. The bump where the key is was added to all hood panels starting in 59 to use with the SelectoSpeed transmission, but does make key access much easier here. Sheetmetal is for a 2000, serial number would confirm model.
