Interesting to see that industry again. I see not a lot has changed since I left that industry 15 years ago, just bigger machines. Then I changed my occupation to tractors. Of
the few companies I worked for starting in the 60's. The big thing was double sided printed circuit boards. Then the circuit boards were laminated together to gain more space. Then a lot of years later the Computer Chip was born. 40 years of that industry bought me a lot of groceries. Stan

S! The integrated circuit was a Jack Kilby, Texas Instruments invention, NOT silicon valley! If you are going to post something , be sure it is accurate!

Wonder what the cleanliness is of that clean room... When I worked in clan rooms supporting disc drive build automation, we had to cover our mouths as well. Shoe scrubbers and then covers just to get in the gown room. Put on the coveralls, then cleanroom boots while only keeping the boot on the clean side of the bench. Beard covers, hoods, masks and nitrile gloves to complete the gowning followed by an air shower through a hallway or interlock depending on location. Overseas they did not wear shoes in the gown room and "barefoot" in the boots was hard on my feet!

Too bad those people don’t fabricate condensers , points, coils and all those 1sr and 2nd generation electrical components our older machines need to keep going. I really like every electronic ignition unit I’ve ever had on our vehicles, however.

Electronics has come a long way. I'm still amazed by my phone. A whole computer in your hand! I hear rumours about making computers connected to brains. That could work for good or for evil. Think of star trek episodes.
