4020 fire update

Called Insurance agent this morning tractor is covered no deductible, just waiting on adjuster to call and then haul it to get estimate.

How bad did it burn? Fire damage is hard to deal with. Any burned sheet metal should be replaced because stopping the rust will be real hard.

No matter what the cost is insurance will cover the repairs on your tractor , but you should consider paying it your self. It will be a hit against you and usually three hits and your out. then you are in a high risk pool for a certain amount of time. You can not hide anything from one company to the next, the system is designed so every company knows your business. 500.00, 1000.00 or 1500.00 out of pocket shouldn't break the bank.

the insurance game isn't what it once was, Insurance once welcomed your business,not any more they what the most profit with least amount of risk.

in my opinion insurance should only be used for a catastrophic loss .

Wow, how do you afford that? My insurances are all set for maximum deductible, so as mentioned below, something like this would be out of pocket.

I have not had troubles with rates going up on comprehensive.

My brother had a 3020 catch on fire, battery cable chaffed through a guide or support and arced through the diesel supply to the pump. He would smother the fire and it would relight, had to break the battery. Don't know if it was a factory routing or what. Perhaps worthy to check.

You Pay insurance for a reason use it. They are screwing enough people don’t be Afraid to use it .
