Cold enough for ya?

I was gonna hibernate today, but the new Mennonite neighbor needs a heater to start milking.

The Meteorologist commentator on a weather station on Dish commented that disregard this cold blast as climate change is really real....or something to that effect....comments like that seem to occur every time the weather acts normal. I will say that it's been years since the weather hit the teens (*F) here....back in the early '90s or thereabouts.

Have a heating pad in the dog's insulated dog house, a pipe tape in her water "cooler chest", light bulb on the outside faucet and have RV antifreeze to pour in the showers to keep the P traps from freezing. Power outage isn't a concern with my Generac back up house power unit. Add to that a little water running overnight and I hope nothing will get damaged the 4 days we are looking at starting mid week. Surely you Northern folks are "built" to resist the cold but down here not so. Some new houses have been built without insulation if the house wasn't air conditioned....I grew up in one and rented some and almost bought one when raising a family.

This morning we briefly hit a low of -37F. Spent over 3 hours at -36.5F though. Gonna stay bad for more than a week yet.

Its way past cold enough for me but sounds like the rest of the week will be the same. Could hardly read the thermometer this morning. Looks like -45 to me.
That red one on the left is the indoor temperature but its on the windowsill right against the glass.
Sounds like a day off for the school buses and riders as they cancel once it hits a certain low or wind chill factor.
