I have a Delco Remy distributor 111-1411. The cam shaft is unacceptable as far as a working part can anyone match the part number for the cam given the part number of the distributor that I have shown. Thanks in advance. Chuck machinist

1111411 , my Neihoff catalog says used in D and S series Case after serial # 4607033.
# 1885555 is sub number and may have same part you need.

yes I see where they superseded the distributor number with the latter you speak of. The problem Im having is finding the part number of the cam shaft I show in the pic above. I just dont want to order the wrong camshaft. CM

Aftermarket or IH used same number dist in there letter Series to replace magneto.
I can't help you with part number of cam.
These folks say they have cams if you have dist. #.

(quoted from post at 10:40:07 02/06/21) I thought IH used their own distributor?

IH did have their own distributor, but many Delco distributors were used when converting to battery ignition from the magneto.

Also, sometimes IH used a "Prest-O-Lite" distributor instead of the IH unit.

Also, sometimes IH used a "Prest-O-Lite" distributor instead of the IH unit.

Or, to be more clear, the official IH battery ignition change over used their distributor or a Prestolite (with the distributor mounted horizontally), and many implement dealers (of all brands) sold the Delco conversions, which had a vertical distributor.

Looks like the O.P.'s distibutor is set up for CW rotation, I don't recall which way the Declo conversions previously mentioned turned, but if CW I think it's likely they may be very similar to what the O.P. is looking for, if true that would certainly widen the search area for a cam.

I have chosen after some guidance from NEDD to seek a 4 lobe cam, that will suit my needs. I understand Delco Remy produced three cams, a 4 lobe 6 lobe and an 8 lobe cam. I hope this helps others in rebuilding their distributors . Thank you for all your input fellows. Chuck Machinist

I don't want to muddy the water on this, but keep in mind that there were both clockwise and counter clockwise 4 cylinder distribuitors available. That cam the flyweights fit around needs the correct part, as the opposite rotation flips the cam over. I think one from any 4 cylinder distribuitor from that Delco series would work.

Since you say you are a machinist, why don't you turn the o.d. of the point cam down enough to be true, then index the flats and cut them down a corresponding amount?

p.s. Don't run points with the white nylon rub blocks from now on, if you can do better. That's how one of mine got that way.
