Brought about 6 inches of snow and wind. I know that’s not really a blizzard but for the way the year Has been its - a blizzard. I really like hauling with this old truck quite a bit of power for a 350 anyone know the horsepower of a 72 ?

Sure wish we had some . This is wet snow . The water was just running of from the heat of the dump truck engine

I could be wrong on this but I remember the government made manufacturers do a truth in advertising. They were giving a gross horsepower and were then required to give a net horsepower.

I’ll not complain. I cut a dike behind my horse corral and the ground isn’t froze and it’s just like powder just like it was in September

I remember reading something to that affect about cars of that time. Same thing happened to get the small engine makers in trouble a few years back. They don't even list HP on a lot of them just CC's

Looks like you are doing about as well on snow as we are just a state away. Going to be a rough summer with out a good snow pack- followed by the previous year's sorry snow pack. My cattle rely on natural forage for summer grazing. Good luck this summer!

We have about 9" on the ground right now,, just got another" three last night,, I WELCOME it as we are dry dry dry,, I have seen maybe 5" of liquid H20 since Sep 2018,, three bad farm years,, sure would be nice to at least make a average amount of crop this year, we will wait and see

In 1972 they went from measuring H.P. at the crank to the wheels and that accounted for the big H.P. difference, my 72 Vette had the same engine as the 71 Vette but the H.P. was lower because of the way it was measured, in 73 the emissions came in to effect big time and every thing went to he**.

I have a ramp at the house too and there’s a place out on my summer range where we unloaded cattle trucks so that covers most of the places I need to go besides custom jobs for that I can use my trailer . It’s easier to get them off than on I’d like to put a winch on the truck just need to figure out how to mount it and make it super strong

WOW green with a cab!! Loaner??? Hows the oil consumption on the truck?? you run it a bit longer maybe it wont need an overhaul. Just needed to be worked!!
