Garden seed shortage?

Thanks to Richard G. I got off the procrastination wagon and started ordering seeds. They were out of stock on some items already. If you want anything special you probably should start looking. I just made a deal on a cultivator set for my cub, so I plan on being a little larger and easier gardener this year.

Called a seed order in this AM they were busy left my number they called back in about hour and a half said they were extremely busy but they had everything I
wanted.I have lots of gardening implements and planters to sell this Spring things look good on that front.

Have all I wanted here or on it's way already. It's always best to start shopping when the seed catalogs come out around Christmas. I'm usually done by mid to late January. Then chomp at the bit until late March before starting them.

I called today and ordered my bag of sweet corn seed. I usually wait till end of March but figured I better get it now.

I was in Orscheln's yesterday and they have a big display of garden seeds. I buy most of my stuff locally

Also hear the canning supplies have been tight for a year now, as more are getting into it.

So if you plant a bigger garden, you might want to be ordering your canning lids and such also....

Got cut pretty short on my garden plans last year.

Went to my favorite seed rack about a week ago, because last year I waited until March as I usually do, and many varieties were gone. And already, in mid-January, they were out of my favorite green beans. Found them at another source, but looks like you need to buy what you need as soon as possible. Ditto started plants- We have basically 2 categories of tomato plants in western Washington: Early Girl, and "all the others that don't work." The latter was the only thing left when I got there last year, and I was reminded of why they don't work.
