Road trip yesterday through south
Alabama. Left the house planning to buy a
few cultivator parts from one guy and a
cub from another one. First stop the
parts. Turns out he had a '49 cub
partially apart for sale. He donated it
to a high school ag program to restore
and a year later they gave up and sent it
back. Appears all there, except the carb.
Was running and driving when he sent it
to them. Will be going back next week
for it. Too cheap not to. Ended up buying
almost 2 full sets of cultivators, disc
plow, moldboard plow, sickle mower, belly
mower and assorted parts from him. Off to
get the other cub. Got there well after
dark and was surprised that the tractor
looked better than the pictures! Loaded
up, visited a bit and headed home. Got
home at 11 pm.... Way too late for us.

This cub is a '49 also..... They keep finding us. Our poor '50 is feeling lonely!

Sort of funny how those things can go. Years ago I seemed to find an abundance of JD H models.

I could look for weeks upon weeks and couldn't find a single cub in my parts nearly as nice as yours. Normal price for junk around here is in the $3000 range. What's wrong with this picture. Wingnut.

He had room for more on that trailer according to his pictures lol. What he needs is bigger ratchet straps for the weight of the tractors and implements.

Even though I am a Ford guy through and through, I think having a little cub around could be handy. The bad part is it appears like it can be addictive.

Cubs seem pretty scarce in southern Minnesota. If they do show up, they are usually in the $2,000 and higher range if they are complete and running.

My dad only had a 1949 Cub to farm with from 1950 to around 1970. That Cub did a lot of work. He had most all the attachments except for a belly mower. I still have it and one that I bought.
