Need help identifying year of my tractor

I recently purchased a tractor a MF 20 but am unsure of the year. The serial number is 9A I68029. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The only place I can find that number is a 1973 MF 135

The serial number should be stamped in a plate in front of the steering wheel. It should start with TOxxxx. They were made from 1948-1951.

Massey Ferguson didn't exist in those years.

The MF 20 was an industrial, or turf, of the MM 135 ag tractor. If one looks in the AGCO parts book for the Massey Ferguson 20 industrial tractor the 9A prefix appears in serial number notes. I believe they ran in the same serial number ranges as the MF135. Your serial number falls in the 1973 serial number range for the MF 135s so I agree with the 1973 build, lacking any other serial number reference source.

The MF 20 was an industrial, or turf, version of the MF 135 ag tractor.

Autocorrect apparently likes the MMs, better than MFs.
