Does your fuel supplier offer contracts? Mine called last week; could book 2022 for only 5 cents more than 2021. Think about that...

I’ll have to check so far as I know nobody does it . I buy on credit I wonder if they will honor 2.00$ when fuel hits 6$?

I don't know why, but tanks here set on the ground. With all that hanging below the tank, I'd be afraid of the fitting at the tank breaking off!

I've found that if I pay bills on time, and that I honor my commitments to them, vendors treat me with the same respect. If not, they don't get repeat business.

With the NY state rules being almost in lock step with ours in Ontario, my guess is insurance companies don’t like fuel tanks on elevated stands. We have a old stand here, but can’t use it anymore. Both the fuel suppliers and the farm insurance won’t allow them. Too much risk of a spill. It was nice to let gravity drop the fuel into the tractor, but electric fuel pumps do the same.

To close to the road for me, either get fuel stolen or tank damage. Don't be surprised if you get a visit from an EPA fool, they check places from the air, either hide under a roof or put in building.

I ran this same filter setup on my portable tank for many years and never broke anything bouncing through fields and down the road I think it’ll be fine static

I really have a hard time believing anybody will lose 4$ a gallon on a couple thousand gallon of fuel .

I usually don’t have any trouble with filters or dirty fuel but this in an old tank and I already had the filter setup put together

Nice setup close to the road. Close enough for the tank truck to fill it and a short walk for the lazy diesel thieves to unfill it.

What are you loading or unloading on your truck in the ditch back there? Back in the day that is how we loaded and unloaded Massey 410 and 510 and Gleaner C combines to make the trips from Texas to Montana. Sometimes it was an adventure when the bank of the ditch didn't match up with the truck bed.

I may look into it I know guys that do it but they buy fuel in tanker loads . There’s libel to be a fuel crisis by spring

Who needs a loading dock when you have the right size ditch nearby that is also frozen.

You probably don't have to worry, I doubt you have many methheads living around you that drive diesel cars. Unless they can figure out how to make meth out of diesel. We had one down the road years back who broke the nozzle off of a completely full anhydrous tank just to get enough to fill his cooler to cool down his mix. The whole tank blew out on the ground. The law figured it had to be someone who knew just enough about farming to be dangerous.

Thankfully no meth heads although who knows what’s walking
through the open boarders oh that’s right just salt Of the earth
😂. That ram needs to be just a little deeper for the two ton
but it’s just right for my big trailer

Thinking about the comment about someone stealing the fuel. I knew a guy that lived in Chicago years ago and he said that when building there, it must go on nonstop til finished and building locked or all loose pieces will be gone when workers leave the site.
