It's been a rather wet spell here. I have been doing a lot of maintenance and improvements in prep of the upcoming season in this downtime if you want to call it that. Sure feels good to finally be able to get back into the field a minute and get some more of the corn ground cut. Nothing like being by yourself in the back 40 without being disturbed. Does wonders for me.

What you see piled up is the sand and clay that came out of the irrigation pond we're having dug. Haven't had any real ground freezing weather yet.
 
Been months since the ground wasn’t froze, will be more months until I could think of that.

Sure looks nice, wish I could!

We’ve been froze out since the end of October here se Id. Is it normal to be that dry where you are ? That would sure be fun about now
 
Here in eastern NC it's usually a little damp this time of the year but since about the first week of December it's been an unusual amounts of heavy rains after another. It's just now getting back to where can start back on some tillage work on the lighter land. Grandaddy always said one extreme follows another. Sure hope the rain dosent run out about June or July when the crops will really need it.
 
I sure hope we get a lot more snow and rain or August will be the last of our worries. We have not had any real moisture since last June until last night we got about a foot of snow .
