Of the tractors I have owned, my favorite is--

The one I use the most and owned the longest...Ford 1520 with loader. Tied would be the Super MTA. Many happy days spent the last many years listening to it roar as I drove up and down hayfields. IH 1586 pulling tillage or planter...

...I don't have a favorite tractor. It's the one I am on that day.

My favorite was my 4640 John Deere. Kinda like Babe the Blue Ox. It would pull anything you hooked onto it. Well, almost. :) I had bigger tractors later but none that enjoyed working as much.

One of my two 4020's. Not sure which one.The narrow front was bought new by my dad and the wide front I started farming with. Tom

Like MR Bruce whatever seat I’m in that day . Love the 3020 powershift. Love the 4020 snychro and then there’s nothing like sitting in the combine watching clean grain go in the bin

For current tractors There is nothing as fun as listening to my 1030 in load. That is the sweetest sound. For just fun to drive, the 1370 I had way back. That thing was amazingly powerful and easy to drive.

Depends what I am doing. I have so many I usually pick one of my 50’s or 60,s tractors. If I go to the antique pulls I take the WD40. It’s the oldest one there and does the best in the class. When u run old stuff it’s good to have a big assortment. Never get tired of one. I like em all

(quoted from post at 18:04:09 01/22/21) My CaseIH CX-100. 100 hp. fwa. just an all around handy trouble free tractor.

For pure fun, my Allis D19 turbo diesel. For making $$$ my Allis 175D, for making $$$ in the hot dusty fields, my Allis 6080 w/cab.

If its a running tractor and I am driving it that's the best as it gets. 10 horse power to 600

My '48 Cub with the machinery that I have for it. Cub's are not common here in the upper mid-west, so it and it's 4' tandem disk usually draws a lot of folks at a show here. I would like to find a corn/cotton planter for it. They are virtually impossible to find in this part of the world.

All of them!!! As a kid I spent a lot of time on 4010 and 4020's, neighbor had a 190XT that was great also. I got into Olivers, had a 2150 FWA, AWESOME tractor, loved my 1850 and super 88. Just got a 1550 with a high speed rear end, I think it will be my favorite for tractor rides. I'm non denominational, just like red heads, I like em all!!!

Ford 960. Learned to drive on it when dad brought it home from an auction. Still have it. It was one of the main machines here for a number of up years.

Like the rest of them too, hard to pick tho. The 1720 is just so handy little loader, use it every day just about.

TW20 is the first I bought myself, that’s special.

The 5200 is just an all around handy one for me, hay and planting and spraying.

Sigh..... which -one-?

Paul

My favorite is my little 39' Farmall A. About as simple and reliable as it gets. Have a sickle bar mower on it in summer.
It's tractor barn mate is my JD 1010 special, good tractor, does all I ask of it.

IH-3588 Snoopy but I'm mostly a John Deere guy so a tie with my JD 4450. Love them both along with my other tractors, IH Cub, Oliver 77, JD 60, JD 3020, JD 630, JD850, and 2750 hr JD 7400. Haven't met a tractor that I didn't like or appreciate. Some just better than others.

Kind of a toss between our John Deere 2755 we've had since new or our CIH 7120 thats been here for 20 years.

My 1967 806 Diesel, it never says no, i still plow with it at plow day. Trouble free, I never had the starter off of it!

hard to say John Deere 60 is my go to tractor for mowing or baling hay my 2510.
I have a sub compact 1025 r with a loader amazing little tractor one day I needed a tractor so I used it to rake hay. It as handy as can be.

I was going to add. The grain drill has been used by three generations in my family. I was the last one. I still have it.

The dairy had a 2005 agco that had fiberglass sides only thing they fell right off minus guess that was a bonus feature 😂

Like most farmers in my area I have driven every style and size tractor made. Some for just a few minutes or hours and others for decades. When it boils down to my favorite it is my 1948 SC Case.

My 8N ford and then my 42 JD H,
Both working tractors around here.
Kubota 5030 is a very handy tractor also.
The 49 JD A I grew up on was the stoutest plowing tractor I ever owned.

My favorite go to is my 56 350 Farmall row crop. It was my dad's and have been driving it since I was 9. The live pto and hydraulics with 2 point make it still useful for applicable jobs. Second would be my 49 A John Deere. The hydraulics are quicker on this tractor and I like it better for plowing and other tillage. Extremely small operation but it is enjoyable.

Probably a toss up. either My good SuperM I've owned since '80,or the Turbo 706 since '84.The 8N is probably my favorite small tractor.

The one that I pick first and starts. If not then the next closest to it out the door . Very lazy and impatient on cold days . Like them all

My Ford Jubilee mutt, has a 172 engine and power steering added to better handle the loader, best wheelbarrow ever. Next have to say the Kabota BX with finish mower and loader. Nice and nimble also easier to get on and off. joe

The Oliver 550 that I have owned for about 40 years. 40 HP diesel, independent PTO, remote hydraulic, 3 point with draft control, power steering, and all in the same size package as an 8N (some of the steering parts even interchange). As handy as a pocket on a shirt.

Really hard to say.As stated below depends what case tractor or combine I am steering at the time of question. My wife prefers our 730 ck diesel. My wife claims I have the largest smile when I am driving my old 1938 Chcase pulling our 22x37 case thresher to our local show each fall.
.

Oliver 1950T. We bought it used in1983. I remember my dad had the 1555 and the 3 bottom plow and I was on the 1950T and a 4 bottom. Wished I had photos from those days. Photo of my dad pulling his new modular house section with the 1950T in 1985. He died from cancer in 1991 at 60.

I wound up with my dad's MF 135 MP diesel which falls in the same category. Unfortunately it has a lot of hours on it and needs power steering work or it would be at the top of my list. I spent many hours on it as a kid.

Put most hours on a 4440 Powershift. Mostly planting and spraying. If you want fresh air 1970 4000D with 158 loader. Used to have a cheap Vaughn loader my Dad bought new in 1975. T

I owned one of these for about 15 years and did a lot of landscaping and snowplowing with it. Very unique and interesting design. Thought up by an engineer and they are still in business over 50 years later. Now come with Honda engines and kevlar belts which should be a big improvement over the one I had which came with a Tecumseh engine and plain old drive belts which I replaced at least once per year and required a quite a bit of disassembly and assembly. I have run many tractors in my day.. Very seldom does a tractor get bought and used here then get sold. It seems like every time we buy one to Fix and flip it ends up finding a use and staying.

I have soft spot for little Fords.. The first tractor Dad taught me to drive and let me drive by myself was NAA..
The next would be my WD It is MY first tractor it was froze up when i got it, I broke it loose and have run it ever since.. It has a straight pipe on it (As a 14yr old couldn't afford a muffler) I can still make it pop back and make every one jump (wait a min is that why i say huh alot).. Ive spent many nights running a small baler with it and watch the flames get 6-8" out of the top, if it got more then that the hay was too green...

now days its whatever one will start and do the job at hand.. the older I get the more I like running them and the less I like fixing them..
