I have Lionel O ga and American Flyer S ga collections. Lot of mostly postwar ( 95% ) well over 50 engines. Was raised as a baby watching trains run on floor. I have old home movies of my twin brother and me standing in our crib jumping up and down while they ran on the floor. i'm 65 now. I call my home trains Bonaparte Southern ( the BS line ). Yep Ken, Did the same thing with my American Flyer Trains, still have them, but wasn't as young as you when starting with them. They always seemed to think the Lionel trains where better, but to this day remember saying to people as a kid, but real trains don't have three rails, American Flyers are better !, yeah, I'm 65 too, Alan

I agree about the American Flyer trains vs the Lionels. I got mine for Christmas in 1946. It still runs. I usually put it together about once a year. I'm 84 and it's getting harder to get on the floor to assemble all the track, though. Ken

Lionel owns the American Flyer brand now and sells American Flyer trains with the two rail track.
