Lift in ford 851

Did a full fluid change on my ford 851.
It lifted the lift once. And now theres
no fluid in the hydraulic pump. It was
working slowly before fluid change. And
now not working at all?? How do I fix
this problem.

you can take your air compressor pressurize the transmission housing and most time it pick up the oil you do it through the dip stick if it has one if not do it where yopu ck the oil dont tale a lot

Well then it is time to put a pressure gauge in the pressure port which is under the seat in that square plate and see if you have pressure. The unloader valve maybe stuck and if so the top cover has to come off and the -o rings be replaced in it

Don't know about them but is the oil level up to level? You said the oil is not in the pump. Sounds like it might be to low after changing.

Bit more on Mick's tractor. When we first got it going lift wouldn't work. After driving it around a few minutes the lift worked. Worked ok for a couple weeks. Had a nice day and changed the milky fluids. Lift worked fine moving a bush hog around the yard several times. Last weekend it was near freezing and no lift. Tried again today. No lift. Fluid is full. Took plug off top of pump and filled it up. Plug back in , start tractor, lift works.( bush hog still attached) took plug out, no fluid in pump, filled it again, lifted again. Now the dip stick shows way over full. And pump is empty, again. And it ain't lifting.

Hyd line in the transmission is bad. Check fluid level in the transmission good chance it is low or empty since the pump is sucking fluid from the transmission instead of the hyd area
