Never seen one before. The rare(one of a kind?) barbwire unroller. 1320 ft, 4 strands. Lots of walking, for some of us!

Look at that post! Tree grew up around it. We came out 3-4 ft and ran a new fence. Guy who is leasing the property is paying us. He got the ok to run new fence from property owners.

Nice.
I unrolled enough by hand walking backwards to put up 1500 feet of fence when I was much younger.
5 strands over very rough ground and through trees and over piles of rock.
Hurts just thinking about it.

Carrying in corner posts and cement to the inaccessible spots by hand is my favorite. Thought about leasing a mule.

What interesting ideals. Rare yes I have to say not. I have seen many ideal like this being used on ranches and farms. I have even seen one that is made up of four barb wire spools that is set up to do all four wire settings. yes it may not be on a cub tractor. The only problem is on this I see is that it does not allow the wire to be tight before setting on post. Like a tension on the wire pulling it to be tight. I can say my wire fencing with barb wire is over and glad they are.

Do they do a lot of grazing cattle on fields after the crop is taken off? Curious why you put up so much barb wire in your area? The picture were the tractor is stringing the strand looks to be tilled field on each side of the tree row. I guess to me it would make more sense to have a permanent fence if both or at least one side was pasture grass.

Barb wire is cheap and fast to put up. Doing a lot for folks leasing land. The field on other side was corn this year. Rotates with beans and cotton. That property was a dairy, been gone for many years. No cows there at all now. Beef cows on "our" side.

What if u used 2 blades? That would allow it not to wear on bar and allow easy unrolling.

(quoted from post at 11:30:42 01/07/21) I was at an auction one time and they had a front end loader for a cub. It sold for $7. Yes $7 and I kick my self for not buying it
f you come to Potosi, I will volunteer to kick you for not buying it.
