The ground is sloppy.
And we are hilly here.
Went to move some treated timbers from where they were stored to a project I am doing.
Took the Kubota with the loader and forks and did not even get close to the timbers.
Had Bush Hog on back of it.
Steering did no good as the front tires would just slide.
Tractor started spinning and would not move.
Using the forks and bucket to try to move it and that did not work.
Cranked my 8N and was able to use a long chain and finally got it out.
8N was spinning some going up the hill.
Helper and I had to tote the timbers up the hill to my shop.
Then we got a lot of work done on the project.
Richard in NW SC where it is soggy with cold rain and snow predicted tomorrow night.

It could be worse Richard, it could be white. We have been get some precipitation nearly everyday since Christmas. Mostly snow, but rain fog drizzle have all been part of the package. Shirt cool days don’t dry things out much do they .

For the snow tomorrow night did you get your bread and milk purchased? My uncle outside of Charlotte said 1/8 inch is predicted. He said that will shut the state down for a couple of days.

I would take wet conditions,, drought here, raised crops on less than 3" from september 1 2019 until harvest end in august 2020,, we have not had 1" since then,, predicting less h20 this year than last,, two years of being hailed out 2018/2019, then 1/3 crop production in 2020,, yea things can be a whole lot worse than having wet ground lol but hey if farming was easy everyone would want to do it

While I can say it is a bit muddy here it is not all that wet. It just keeps freezing over night and then thaws during the day so the top gets muddy

I can't comprehend growing in that little amount of rain,we got 3 inches last week. Alot of the farm land here is in the river bottoms so we have alot of flood problems but also have a high water table so lots of irrigation.

We are running on about the same 3 inches since June with what little snow and one rain storm this fall we might be at 4 inches total moisture since the first week of June and not any real sign off it breaking every time they call for a storm it never comes we’ve had probably 6 inches snow total with it taking at Least a foot to equal one inch of rain we are in bad shape 4 inches total rain may even be stretching it
