WOW! Never saw one of those. Gorgeous restoration....yeah I know you already knew that....just wanted us to reinforce your opinion of your handywork!
Grin!

Sooooo guessing it is yearmodeled around the time of the hundred series, what is it and what's it's origin?

It's based on an 841 Ford. The "1" in front is Ford's way of indicating "Industrial".
They had a rule against using "I" because it could be confused with "1". In some cases
they used either the "1" or the "I" horizontally to make a "dash".

That's Dave Arthurs' tractor. 1841 industrial.
He helped me with pointers when I was re-doing mine.
Mine still needs the bucket and loader arms painted,
but it's back together, running and working.

Nice pics Royse!

Do you happen to know anything about the shape of the frame? It's interesting how it has that strong curve in it. Maybe to help keep CoG lower?

The 1841 (both yours and Arthurs) are beautiful machines. Looking forward to seeing pics of yours once finished.

"Do you happen to know anything about the shape of the frame?"

Thanks KCM. I can't speak specifically to the shape of the frame
but I suspect it is functionally to keep it low on the rear both for
egress/ingress as well as to line it up to hook to the rear axle.

I can tell you that it is an integral part of the tractor frame.
The front axle/bolster is only held on by two bolts at the engine.
The strength comes from the loader frame being on the exterior.
And that front axle/bolster is massive and heavy!
My little forklift had issues with steering when moving it.
I don't think you could use this tractor without the loader frame.
The loader arms and bucket, obviously, can be taken off.

Here's a pic of how it buckled when I took the frame off and
another of the front axle assembly once removed. All cast iron.
Even the nose cone and grill insert are cast iron.
Nose cone weighs 250 lbs alone. It houses the hydraulic tank
and protects the hydraulic pump which mounts to the bolt holes
where I have the chains of the cherry picker attached.

Mid-Michigan, where I live.
There is another fellow here who has one for sale with an Elenco
4x4 front end. Minus the engine and any other parts he has sold.
I thought about it because it was reasonably priced, but passed.
