I made a crude heat houser for the 1550 today. A $3 9x7 blue tarp from Harbor Freight and some scrap iron. It ain’t pretty but should throw some heat back on me plowing snow!

that sure going to help thats for sure -- remember the fan has to get some air in order to blow it back to You sure a lot cheaper than boughten unit -- good job ! Roy

Dad often used a real gunny sack over the radiator, it restricted air flow but allowed about the right amount Of air to pass through.

Red Green would be proud of you 99--If you used duct tape instead of twine he would have been REAL proud--Good Job---Tee

Might have to, but it's not going to fit that tight on the grill. I'll find out tomorrow!!!

good luck be careful my try at that was not good and the fumes off that stuff burning is really toxic. new weather brake heat housers are not that pricey nowdays. i just thank the lord for heated skid steer units now days

Great idea and it would be a great idea for farm show some people sure are overly sensitive to fumes . Even lt it doesn’t blow to much air at you it will keep the wind of you which makes probably the biggest difference . I can go plow snow for 10 hours straight and not get cold it’s the drive to and from jobs that’s when it gets cold from all the wind
