(quoted from post at 05:44:08 12/29/20) So was this a 4 seat cab ? Or was there bunk
space to nap ?

Bunk

Looks like IH R190
Thought maybe a IH Westcoaster,but leaning R190.
My monitor not that great

Nice International.

My old M6123 looks more like a paystar with that hood on it. Mine has aluminum tread plate fenders over the front wheels going to the engine compartment.

Would have had a v 549 or so engine, about 3 miles to a gallon but pull the world to end. The part
behind the seat was wide enough to lay down in but you better not be over 5,9 long or you could not
stretch out. Drove one many miles . Dad bought it new in 1956.

We had a similar one without the bunk. In the summer the passenger side floor board got pretty hot. It never seemed to lack for power, had the nasty habit of twisting off the driveshaft to the second axel in a hard pull. Folks got the biggest overload fine they ever got when it did that coming out of the woods, they put a backup tractor on the load (a 59 GMC single axel which had a Detroit Diesel) and headed for the Class A. Never made it. That GMC would pull anything too but was a pretty heavy unit which didn't help.

First thing I say to myself when I see that truck is:
I wonder if IH designers were told to use a surplus of those triangle windows that were leftovers from some other older model????
