John Deere 630 Starter Installation

I took out the starter on my 630 and cannot remember for the life of me how to reconnect the starter wires. Does any one have a picture of wire placement on the starter and solenoid? Any help would be
appreciated. There are three wires underneath, one from the battery and 2 looks like from the switch. There is also an "L" shaped bar that connects the solenoid to the battery. Does one of the stater switch wires
connect to the terminal with this "L" shaped wire? The other starter wire connects to the solenoid? Does it matter which terminal on the solenoid this wire is attached too? Where does the battery cable attached
too? Opposite terminal on the solenoid? Thanks for any help.

post a picture of that starter, should be standard delco solenoid. battery cable goes to the top post , and when solenoid is energized the power comes out bottom terminal into starter. the heavier of the two small wires goes to the s termnal.

So the bigger wire from the switch goes on the same terminal as the power cable from the battery and the other smaller wire goes on the smaller solenoid terminal? What smaller terminal or does it not matter? Thank you.

If it's a Delco solenoid, the small terminals will be marked S and R.

The wire from the neutral switch goes to the S terminal.

Likely the R terminal will not be used.

White wire with large "eyelet" shares solenoid post with battery cable.

Black wire with small "eyelet" goes to "S" terminal on solenoid.

Note the battery cable connected to the NEGATIVE post on the battery.

Note one end on the WHITE lead attached to the terminal with the battery cable.

The other end of the WHITE lead is attached to the POSITIVE terminal on the ammeter.

Note one end of the BLACK lead attached to the terminal on the starter switch.

Hope this helps.

goes to the "S" terminal as i said. the other wire with big end is really obvious where it goes. should have taken yourself a picture. jump the s terminal to the big post on solenoid and see if it cranks as i also said.
